ITALY IS OPEN TO TOURISM

Dear All,

We can finally announce and confirm that Italy is open for tourism as per the latest Governmental Ordinance of the 14th of May 2021.

The main news, beside the fact that we are open for tourism for people coming from most of the countries of the world, is that for those coming from the countries of the European Union and the Schengen area, as well as from Great Britain and Israel, quarantine is no longer envisaged. To enter our country it will be necessary to have a negative molecular or antigen Covid-19 swab test carried out in the previous 48 hours.  Those who do not report the swab results will have to perform a 10-day quarantine and a swab at the end of isolation.

The general regulations for travel to / from abroad are contained in the Prime Minister's Decree of 2 March 2021 and in the Ordinance of 14th of May 2021 of the Minister of Health, in force from 16 May to 30 July 2021. The Prime Minister's Decree continues to be based on five lists of Countries for which different measures are envisaged. These lists are contained in Annex 20 and arrival from the different countries of the world is regulated as follows: as follows:

A - San Marino, Vatican City
> At the moment, there are no restrictions on travel to / from the states and territories contained in list A.

B - States and territories with low epidemiological risk, which will be identified with a specific Ordinance, among those listed in list C.
> At the moment, no state is on this list.

C - Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark (including the Faroe Islands and Greenland), Estonia, Finland, France (including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Réunion, Mayotte and excluding other territories located outside the European continent), Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands (excluding territories located outside the European continent), Poland, Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira), Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including territories on the African continent), Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, British bases on the island of Cyprus), Switzerland, Andorra , Principality of Monaco, Israel.
> Must submit the green Covid-19 certificate or present a certified molecular or antigenic Covid-19 swab test, carried out in the 48 hours prior the arrival to Italy, conducted with a swab and a negative result.
In the event that it is not possible to submit the green Covid-19 certification or a certificate attesting that a test has been carried out within the terms indicated above, it is still possible to enter Italy, with the below obligations:
Undergo fiduciary isolation and health surveillance for a period of ten (10) days, at the home or residence, informing the Prevention Department of the competent local Health Authority;
Carry out a molecular or antigen test at the end of the fiduciary isolation.
In order to obtain the green certificate, one of the following conditions must be attended: 
to have had a full cycle of one of the vaccines approved by EMA;
to have had a negative Covid-19 swab test done in the 48 hours prior arrival;
to be in possession of a recovery certificate from Covid-19.

D - Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Rwanda, Singapore, United States, Thailand.
> If  stayed / transited, in the previous fourteen (14) days, in a country of list D, it is mandatory:
Fill in a self-certification, which will soon be replaced by a digital localization form. From the moment the digital form will be available, only if it was not technically possible to fill it in, it will be possible to use paper self-certification, drawn up according to the criteria indicated in art. 50 paragraph 1 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 2 March 2021.
Have a certificate attesting the negative result of a molecular or antigen test, conducted with a swab, carried out in the seventy-two (72) hours prior the arrival to Italy, to be shown to anyone responsible for carrying out this verification.
Inform the competent health authority for the territory of your entry into Italy
Undergo fiduciary isolation and health surveillance for ten (10) days.You can reach your final destination in Italy only by private vehicle (airport transit is allowed, without leaving the dedicated areas of the airport).
At the end of the ten (10) days of quarantine, it is mandatory to carry out an additional molecular or antigen test, conducted with a swab.

E - Rest of the world: all states and territories not expressly indicated in another list.
>Movements to / from the rest of the world are allowed only in the presence of precise reasons, such as: work, health or study reasons, absolute urgency, return to one's home, home or residence. Therefore, travel for tourism is not allowed.

Countries subject to special measures: Brazil, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
>Bangladesh, Brazil, India and Sri Lanka are part of List E. However, the Minister of Health, with various ordinances, has ordered a ban on entry to Italy for all those coming from Brazil, India, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka, or who have stayed / transited there in the 14 days preceding the attempted entry into Italy.


 
QUARANTINE EXEMPTION FOR CREW AND COVID- FREE FLIGHTS

As per Sardinia Regional decree, the obligations for quarantine do not apply to different categories, among them:
- seafarers arriving with the boat and staying on board
- to anyone who enters Italy for a period not exceeding one hundred and twenty (120) hours for proven work, health or absolute urgency needs, with the obligation, at the expiry of said term, to leave the national territory immediately or, failing that, to initiate the period of surveillance and fiduciary isolation
- admissions via "Covid-tested" flights
- participation in sports competitions

All the above categories are required to present negative swab test results upon arrival to Sardinia done 48 hours prior arrival.

Among the latest good news: Delta have announced on May the 14th that it will be launching COVID-tested flights from New York (JFK) to Venice July 2, plus Atlanta to Venice and Boston to Rome August 5, in conjunction with partner Alitalia.
 


 
ALL  YACHTS ENTERING SARDINIA HAVE TO PRESENT: 
- Maritime Health Declaration
- Free Sanitary Practice, depending on the country the yacht is arriving from 
- Negative PCR tests results for COVID-19 done 48 hours prior entering Italy or vaccination certificate
- Compulsory registration to the Regional Website "Sardegna Sicura" https://sus.regione.sardegna.it/sus/covid19/regimbarco/init  (we can take care of it for you)


Please note that Sardinia, as all Italy (except for Val D'Aosta region), is, since today, in yellow zone. This means that most of Covid-19 restrictions has been lifted as follows:

SHOPS - All commercial activities are open, including hairdressers and beauticians. Bars and restaurants will also be open from 5 am to 10 pm, but can only be consumed at the outdoor tables. The shopping centers will be closed on the weekend (this may change soon).

TRAVEL - The curfew remains from 10pm to 5am (but in the next few days the government should decide to postpone the start of at least one hour). During the day, you can move to another location that is also in the yellow zone (all of Italy is in yellow excluding Val d’Aosta), without justification. To move within the national territory, however, a "Covid green certification" is required. If the move is for work or health reasons, there are no time constraints. It is allowed to go to second homes.

VISITS - It is allowed to go to relatives or friends from 5 to 10 pm (maximum 4 people, who can bring their minor children with them).

SPORT - Ok to individual, team and contact sports, in public and private parks and outdoor sports centers. Yes also to dance and activities such as yoga and pilates, but always outdoors. Team training must also be conducted outdoors.

CULTURE - Museums, cinemas and theaters open, but with a maximum capacity of 50 percent (with a maximum of one thousand spectators outdoors and 500 indoors) and with spaced seats.

CLUBS AND STADIUMS - Even in the yellow zone, pending further provisions on reopening, both the discos and the stadiums are currently closed.
 
 

FOR WHAT CONCERNS TRAVELLING TO OTHER COUNTRIES

SPAIN 
Entry into Spain is allowed from all European countries and countries belonging to the Schengen area, without the obligation of quarantine. There is the obligation to present a negative molecular test carried out within 72 hours prior to entry. Rapid tests are not allowed, not even for the Canary Islands.

UNITED KINGDOM
Incoming travelers are required to fulfill four requirements:
- to have a negative test carried out 72 hours before departure;
- fill in an online form ("travel locator form") in the two days prior the departure providing  address and telephone number must be provided; carry out a 10-day quarantine, which is reduced to 5 if you arrive from a country not included in the black list and make a paid swab; 
- carry out 2 covid tests on the second and eighth day of isolation

FRANCE 
The entry is allowed only to travelers from Schengen areas, plus Australia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom. For these countries a negative PCR test certificate done 72hrs before entry is required.
From other countries, entry is allowed only for essential reasons.
From Brazil, Argentina, Chile, South Africa and India, 10 days of quarantine are required + negative PCR test certificate done less than 36hrs before entry, or negative PCR test certificate less than 72 hrs before entry and antigen test done less than 24 hrs before boarding. Kids under 11 YO are not required to present any test result.

GERMANY
Anyone entering the country must show documentation before boarding that proves that they have been vaccinated (with both doses or one if they have had Covid), cured or have tested negative for a molecular or antigenic swab performed within 48 hours previous. This obligation does not apply to children under 6 years of age.

GREECE
Passengers residing in EU countries, in the Schengen area, United Kingdom, USA, United Arab Emirates, Serbia and Israel must have a negative molecular test (in English), carried out in the previous 72 hours, at the time of entry into the country upon arrival, or - alternatively - a vaccination certificate. For other passengers, the 7-day quarantine continues. Those arriving in Greece can also be subjected to a sample test, which is mandatory. If the result is positive, he will have to carry out a 14-day quarantine in a covid hotel.

UNITED STATES
Entry into the country is forbidden for travelers who, in the previous 14 days, have been in a country of the Schengen area (including Italy), in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa, China or Iran

TUNISIA
The borders will reopen on June 27 and also the current legislation does not allow travel for tourism reasons from Italy to Tunisia. In any case, all those who enter the country must have a negative molecular swab performed in the previous 48 hours, download an app to register, undergo a 7-day quarantine in covid hotels and carry out a second swab. People who have already been vaccinated (who will still have to carry out fiduciary isolation), minors accompanied by vaccinated people and passengers on special tourist flights organized by local authorities are excluded from the quarantine in the hotel.
