Ocean Lovers is our dedicated initiative to protect our seas. At Nautica Assistance, we share a deep passion for both the ocean and the beautiful islands we call home, as well as the world of yachting. Our mission is to build a community of Ocean Lovers who, through simple yet impactful actions, will help create a healthier and happier marine environment. 

Our primary goal is to raise awareness within the yachting community about the importance of the marine ecosystem. Through carefully designed projects, we aim to actively contribute to the preservation of our waters, fostering a sustainable relationship between yachting and the environment.

Key Initiatives

"Tag the Turtle" Rescue Project
In collaboration with the Tavolara Marine Protected Area (AMP), we’ve launched a unique initiative called “Tag the Turtle.” This project enables participants to sponsor a rehabilitated sea turtle by providing a tracking device that, when attached before its release, sends regular updates to the AMP’s database. Sponsors can even choose the release location (with institute approval to ensure the turtle’s safety), name the turtle, and follow its journey via a dedicated link, gaining insight into its post-rehabilitation journey and contributing valuable data to the research center.

Cetacean Monitoring
Through Ocean Lovers, Nautica Assistance actively involves those who frequent our seas in collecting data on cetacean sightings. By using a dedicated app, participants can log sightings, share photos, and send data directly to authorities studying marine mammals in the region. This program not only promotes responsible tourism but also empowers the yachting community to actively engage in the monitoring and protection of marine life in the Mediterranean.
