CORONAVIRUS. THE NEED OF A NEW ATTITUDE

Covid-19

#DISTANTIMAUNITI (DISTANTI MA UNITI = FAR BUT UNITED)
#IOSTOACASA (IO STO A CASA = I STAY HOME)

These are two of the main hashtags that are jumping on our social pages and that describe more than ever a very strong spirit of solidarity born among Italian people these days.

The Sanitary situation in Italy is requiring a massive and common effort to stop the diffusion of the Coronavirus and in Nautica Assistance we have taken the decision to work from home since yesterday.

Therefore since last night it is not just about individual decision, but it is a governmental decree explained on unified networks by the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
From today effective till the 3rd of April 2020, Italian citizens and residents are not authorized to leave their own houses if not for a very specific reason. We are all allowed to move only inside our own towns/cities, not allowed to move to other city unless in case of very specific needs: medical care, pharmacy, provisions. Commercial goods can still circulate without any restriction.

In Nautica Assistance we have embraced this new attitude, new way to live and to work even before it was compulsory as we are completely in favour of it. The only way to avoid the diffusion of the Coronavirus is to avoid any increase of contagion.
Moreover, we cannot allow the implosion of our hospitals seeing how rapidly this infection spreads.

We are all doing what we can do in order to stop the emergency.  We are very thankful to the Authorities and to the great job that the national Health Organization is doing with all people involved in this emergency. All the medical teams are working non stop and very hard to fight this threath and we are absolutely proud of them. What we are facing now, with this new temporary lifestyle will allow Italy to be back to normality sooner than expected.
We truly hope all European countries will have the courage to take similar actions very soon and to put the health of the population ahead of the economic interests as we absolutely need to stop any possibility of pandemic international circumstances.

As we said, in NA we are still working from home, and we are ready to assist you as before in any needs with all our passion as usual, ready to assist you to have our Med season set in place at the best.

Last but not least, Nautica Assistance underwrites the message sent yesterday by Federagenti through the launch of the campaign 'We take care' as we completely agree on the fact that prevention measures are expected to produce positive and reliable results in a short medium term. Standardization of maritime health procedures have been already set and passengers and crews of large tourists will enjoy the beauties of Italy without any danger. We are sure that such an attitude can only spread a feeling of safety among the maxi and mega yacht community. Here attached the Coronavirus  'Guidance for Ship Operators for the Protection of the Health of Seafarers', that you can also find on our website at the link below:

We will keep updating you all about the situation through mails and social networks. Please follow our pages and do not hesitate to contact us anytime.
