Asinara is a small, uninhabited island (52 sq km) located off the northwest coast of Sardinia, within the Asinara National Park and Marine Protected Area. Access is restricted, and visitors can only explore the island with local guides. Asinara is known for its diverse wildlife, including several endangered species and the famous albino donkeys. The island is reachable by ferry from Porto Torres and Stintino.
